Eyes on Forks!

These eyes are made of crushed oreo cookies.
Originally, I wanted to make them or regular sized forks, but I couldn't find any so I made them with small appetizer forks. The forks are small and cute!

My first time making eyeballs, but I hope you guys like them anyway =)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Queen Mary-Dark Harbor...

OMG!!! The Queen Mary was sooooo much fun. They've added so many new things to see and it looked like a big creepy carnival! Their creativity is amazing and so is all the make up and costumes. It's was the best year at the Queen Mary I must say. I had already given up on it because it just wasn't fun anymore because every year it felt like the same thing to me, but this year...WOW! I can't wait for next year!

Look at how small the 16 oz. water bottle looks near the corn dogs.

They had huuuuge corn dogs, hot dogs, pizza slices, burgers, kabobs, garlic fries, and sooo many other things to choose from. I had tacos and everything I tried was really good. So exciting! They had so much carnival yummy food.

Halloween Wood Frame & Barrette

A few years ago, I saw these napkins at the store and I really liked them so I bought them, but I wasn't sure what to do with them. All I knew was that I didn't want to use them as napkins so I got the idea of using them on a wooden frame. I wasn't sure if it was going to work, but I went for it anyway.

Here is the frame. Next time, I will add flowers and more stuff, but this one I wanted it to be simple because I put rhinestones on it and painted it with black shimmering paint.

Hair barrette was plain white, but I painted it black, added glitter, the Jack Skellington face, red little hearts and black swirls with 3D paint.

Fright Night Movies...

Sunday: "From Hell"- I didn't love it, but I liked it. =) =(
Monday: "Red Riding Hood" - I love it. =) =)
Tuesday: "Beneath" - This movie was so good and interesting, but they killed it with the ending! ugh! noooo!!!! why?!?! >=[ =)  (mad face & happy face for this one)
Wednesday: "The Dark" - ok, but this ending was worse than any movie I've watched in 2months! Then, it had an alternate ending and ofcourse it was a stupid one too! ugh! >=[ =(
Thursday: "Silent Hill" - I really like this movie. Sad for some of the characters because I liked them&they didn't make it, but I like the movie overall. Not really scary to me, but interesting looking monsters. =) =)
Friday: "Carrie" (The remake)- A bit too dramatic so it was only ok for me, but I did like the teacher twist on the new one. Chloe made a crazy looking Carrie when she had the blood all over and was after some revenge...um, I wouldn't want to piss her off! But she also seemed so sweet and innocent and so sad to see her bullied like that. Anyway, I didn't love the movie, but Chloe Moretz and Judy Greer still rock!=( =)
Saturday: "Carrie" (Original) =( =)

Brother's Bday Fun...

Ok so I missed the screening at the park of Ghostbusters and the ectomobiles BUT I went to the California Science Center and the Natural History Museum! How fun is that?! Helloooo?! Alot of fun! They were playing different 3D films and we got tickets to the Butterflies movie and when they say 3D, they mean 3D! The butterflies looked like they were right infront of my face and if I looked at the row in front of me, it looked like the butterflies were going inside some old little guy's ear! Then, they'd coming out of the other ear (according to my brother). silly. It looked so nice and it's interesting how the monarch butterflies migrate from Canada to Mexico. Please don't capture the butterflies people! just let them be and fly to their destination...it's like a huuuuge butterfly family reunion. It's amazing! Beautiful.

Anyway, so we looked and played with stuff in both museums and even took pictures with the Endeavour space shuttle. Then, we headed over to a place called: Mercado La Paloma and had some really good food! like REEEEALLY good food! We weren't even done eating and we were already planning to go back with more people so they can also try all the yummy food.

Most of the foods had names that we can't even pronounce so I will just say what they are instead of the name they had on the menu...

My brother ordered a pork plate

My mom ordered, a chicken plate. It was covered in a really good sauce, but can't even guess what the ingredients in it were. I just know it was really good.

For me the best part is that none of their plates are spicy, but they do give you an habanero and habanero sauce on the side. My brother couldn't get enough of that sauce even though it was really spicy. He just had to bring some of it home so he bought a bottle of it...

Ooooh! and he ordered this green swamp juice looking thing. He liked it, but I didn't. It tasted like someone blended grass and water....eeew! The flan he ordered after the dinner was sweet and creamy, really good.
I ordered dessert from a place across (its like a food court so alot of places to eat). I got an ice cream called "Beso de Angel". I just had to order it after reading the name. I pictured it white with coconut flakes and some glitter like a beautiful Angel, but that wasn't the case. haha. It had walnuts, carrots, mamey and I forgot what else. It wasn't creamy and I can mainly taste mamey and carrots. Interesting flavor, but I liked it and would order it again. On their menu, they had "Roses" ice cream! don't think I'd try that one. I imagine it tasting like perfume. No thanks! definitely, not curious to try it.

We all had a good time and it was nice to spend time together...love you guys. Happy Birthday Brother!

Los Angeles Haunted Hayride Adventure

Finally! I've been wanting to check out this haunt for a couple of years and I finally got to go. It was fun to experience it for the first time, but doubt I would go again. Its way TOO dusty! The dust was in my nose and throat and a couple hours after I got home, I had to take an allergy pill because I couldn't breath!

It was TOO quiet! They should have fun employees entertaining people so we wont all be walking around like zombies! I noticed something going on, but no one knew what it was, others didn't even notice it because no one was saying anything to get our attention so it was a bit confusing. Was it a show or were they just practicing for something? who knows, it was weird.

I think they could've really taken advantage of the location and made it exciting, scary and fun with crazy creepies scaring the heck out of people. The only ones that seemed super excited to be there were the monsters inside the hayride haunt. They did a good job. I can't speak for the maze because we didn't have tickets for it.

Food: Well, there wasn't a big selection of food, but I think all their food was vegan and that's really cool so it makes up for not having much to choose from, I think.

There were 3 psychics and I wanted a reading, but the lines were too long so we left. =(

Oh! I almost forgot. On our way to the hayride haunt, we went into the wrong parking lot and there were coyotes staring at us! Good thing I didn't get out of the car to go ask for directions because they looked hungry! It was sooo scary so I told Mary to lock her door! Yes, I know coyotes don't have hands like us to open the car doors, but you never know! haha. Skurrrrry!

Ok so overall, it was just ok, but we had fun anyway because the hayride was cool, not scary for me, but fun.

Corn & Carrie

I went back to the Pierce College Harvest pumpkin patch for more corn!!! yum yum! Again I topped it with mayo, lemon and cheese and they never disappoint with their sweet delicious corn!

Then, late at night...it's Carrie Time! Yeap,a late night showing...probably wont be able to sleep after that, but I'm sure it'll be fun anyway.

Day of the Dead Mache Couple

My little guy is still missing his top hat, but when I find one for him, I will definitely get it for him. Otherwise, I'll have to make one, but I want him to have one and look as fancy as his bride! =)

Day of the Dead Mini Albums...

Making a mini album for the Day of the Dead is a bit of a challenge because it's easy to cross over to a Halloween theme and before you know it, your mini is a mix of both. Most of the minis I've seen online, people have crossed over to halloween, but halloween isnt the same as day of the dead! Therefore, I wanted to concentrate on one or the other. In this case, I went with Dia de los Muertos and I loved it! soooo...I made a 2nd one.

Fright Night Movies& Shows...

Oct. 6-12th:
- American Horror Story S1: Episode 1 & 2 =( =(
Almost gave up on this show and not scary at all for me, but kept watching...

-American Horror Story S1: Episode 3 & 4 =( =)
It got better, not scary, just interesting because I was learning more about the characters.

-American Horror Story S1: Episode 5 & 6 =( =)
I got used to it and the characters.
-American Horror Story S1: Episode 7 & 8 =( =(
I think this is where I stopped watching it. I didn't like the part where they have a character named Elizabeth Short. So I'm done with this season, lost interest, but maybe I'll like Season 2 alot better since I heard Adam Levine is in it.

-Joshua =( =)
Not really scary, but it's ok. Not sure I'd watch it again though, it's eh.

-The Woman in Black =( =)
Its a bit too slow, but it has a few ok parts in it. I think it couldve been scarier and I'm also not a fan of the ending so it's just ok for me.

-John Carpenter's Halloween =) =)

Mole Festival & Cupcakes that look like food...

The Mole Festival at Placita Olvera was fun. They really did have so many different types of moles and even tamal cupcakes with mole!

I really wanted to try the one with the pink conchita on it, but they didn't have any. It looked so cute! You can find the sellers on facebook for more information on where to find these cupcakes.

I really like when cupcakes look like food. I made these for Thanksgiving 2011 and people really thought they would taste like gravy, corn or veggies, but it's all sweet stuff (candy, cookies&caramel) on cupcakes.

Viva el Mole, Sweet Corn & Fright Nights...

Sunday, October 6, 2013- Its Mole Time at Placita Olvera! Every year, they have a mole festival where they have live music and lots of food, especially different types of mole! I've never been to it, but it sounds like so much fun. I can't even have mole but I love these types of cultural events and even though I'm not Mexican, I love to see latinos getting together and enjoying themselves. I also love when people that aren't Latinos attend these events because it probably means that they are interested in our culture and there is nothing sweeter than making them feel welcomed around us...that's really cool. I'm sure there will be all types of people from different nationalities and I can NOT wait!

This is the flyer I found online, but if you need more information or you need to verify the event, you can check out the Placita Olvera's website.

Movies I've watched in the past few days for my Fright Nights:
- Shutter =) =) {I didn't like what they uncovered towards the end because I find it a bit silly, but overall, I did enjoy the movie}

-Myrtles Plantation videos on youtube by different people. =) The 1st one I watched was from apage2turn1 and I like how she told the story. Some people go off to another topic or get a bit TOO dramatic or drag on, but she didn't. Thanks! Other users on there also have videos about the history of Myrtles Plantation and its interesting. Now, I want to visit! but I would not want to sleep there after the stories I heard. I'm skurrrd!

-Ghost Hunters videos: Season 8-Part 1 =)

-Sleepy Hollow =) =) It's funnydark, creepy and I love their costumes especially the dress with black and whites stripes! niiice.

- Hasta El Viento Tiene Miedo - =) I really like this movie, but to me, "mas negro que la noche" is a bit creepier.

-Sweeney Todd =( =( WHAT in the freaking heck?!?! No.

Oh! and I do the countdown for fresh roasted corn at the Pierce College Harvest Festival like I do the countdown for a McRib EVERY year so finally today I went to Pierce College and ate some roasted corn!mmmmm.....soooo sweet! I top it with mayo, parmesan cheese and a couple of lemon squirts! But ofcourse they have different toppings for different tastes. I can't wait to go back and have more corn on the cob!

I think they have 2 haunted houses, a maze, a scary corn field trail, and a few other things, but I didn't go into any of the scares. I only went to walk around the pumpkin patch and for my corn, but I did see that they called the ambulance to attend to someone, but I don't know if it was someone that got too scared inside "Insane Reaction" or it was because of something else. Either way, I hope theyre doing ok. I remember one time, years ago, I ran up a wall at the queen mary's haunt and I'm glad I ran up the wall, rather than running into the wall because the ship is pure metal! Ouch! =/

Witch Potion Jar...Spider Venom...

I was walking the aisles of the Dollar Tree and I noticed they have glass jars with metal lids like the mason jars so I bought two, but for now I've only experimented on one...

I mixed mod podge with black acrylic paint and brushed it onto the jar. After the paint dried, I added some streaks of green paint that looks flourescent under black light.

Then, I trimmed the label to fit the jar and mod podged it on. After the jar, I decorated the lid making it look a bit rusted and old with distress paint (dabbers) and added the other stuff to it as you see in the pic. below.

Oh! and ofcourse I added some pretty onyx glitter to the jar. I love glitter! so I try to sprinkle it on everything or I stickle everything I can!

Top of Jar is covered in Black leaves, a Spider Sticker and little black flowers (stickled in the center w-green). Between the lid and the jar, I added 2 small squares of black tulle.

Goofy is ready for Halloween Time, are you?

My sweet little Goofy love will not go anywhere without his bestfriend "Gray Bat". He rips open any ball or toy I give him, even the skull he has in the picture. Except, his bat ofcourse. I don't know why he loves that bat so much, but it's so cute!

HAPPY OCTOBER! It's Halloween Time!!!
